Collection and Transportation

On scheduled pickup days, trained and vetted personnel collect the filled bins and transport them to a shredding facility. These personnel are often required to pass background checks, and the transportation vehicles are equipped with security measures to prevent unauthorized access during transit.

Shredding Process

At the shredding facility, documents are fed into industrial shredders. These machines can handle a large volume of paper quickly, reducing them to confetti-sized pieces. This process ensures that the documents are completely destroyed and cannot be reconstructed.

Certification of Destruction

After the shredding process, the shredding company provides a Certificate of Destruction. This document serves as a legal verification that the materials have been destroyed in compliance with relevant privacy laws and regulations, such as HIPAA, FACTA, or GDPR, depending on the geographical location and industry. Recycling Post-shredding, the destroyed materials are baled and sent to recycling centers. This environmentally friendly step ensures that the shredded paper is repurposed and does not end up in landfills, aligning with corporate sustainability goals.
