Singapore's First Integrated E-Waste PRS Program

T3 has been appointed by the National Environment Agency (NEA) as the Producer Responsibility Scheme (PRS) Operator for Electrical and Electronic Waste (E-Waste).

T3 has been active in the waste management and recycling industry in Asia for more than 20 years. The company has its headquarters in Hong Kong. Additional operating facilities are located in China, Indonesia, and Singapore. With its vision for a world without waste, the company focuses on four business areas: Smart City Solutions, Plastics Recycling, Green Gas & Green Fuel Technology and Hazardous Waste Recycling & Management. T3 originated from the Asian activities of the German T3 Group with more than 50 years of experience in Germany and Europe, but has been legally an independent corporate group since 2019.

NEA appoints T3 as PRS operator

The appointment of the PRS Operator, T3 E-Waste Smart Recycling Pte Ltd, the local T3 entity, is an integral part of Singapore’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for E-Waste management. T3 E-Waste will collect regulated consumer E- Waste across Singapore for proper treatment and recycling for a period of 5 years, from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2026.

Resource Sustainability Act

The Resource Sustainability Act (RSA) was introduced by the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainability in 2020. Under the RSA, producers of regulated electrical and electronic products are responsible for the collection and proper treatment of their e-waste.

When transitioning to a new filing system or upgrading to digital storage, it’s important to handle your old paper documents properly. Start by scanning important documents and saving them to secure digital storage like cloud services or a local hard drive. Organize these scanned files into labeled folders. Use a cross-cut shredder or professional shredding services to destroy sensitive documents, ensuring personal information is protected. Recycle non-sensitive paper materials to reduce environmental impact. Establish a document retention policy and store important physical documents securely. This process ensures your information is backed up and old documents are disposed of responsibly, protecting your data and supporting sustainability.
